MATERIALS COORDINATOR

Supports the execution of the material sourcing strategy and R&D by researching, analyzing, and capturing information that impacts the mill matrix, fabric consumption, and fabric cost saving with technical proficiency. Supports Materials Sourcing and Materials  Team to optimize materials service to the cross functional internal teams Engages in swatch counter development, as needed,  to final approval in to support sourcing strategy against seasonal timelines Supports R&D Materials Team, as needed Drives issuance of Service Level Terms as per final placement decisions Respond to daily communication regarding raw materials Support organization of existing and new fabrics within fabric library Maintain data in product life cycle management & other systems Update Kohl’s raw material website Conduct data analysis and ad hoc requests from product lifecycle management system Report economic, political, raw material cost factors on a monthly basis Assist team’s travel preparation Develop presentations to drive decision making for various audiences, including upper management Support consolidation of raw materials through execution of material forecasting Report savings seasonally Lead in planning of biannual Mill and Denim Fairs & post-fair survey Obtain, assess and manage mill profiles for private and exclusive brands Drive annual mill evaluations & communicate results to stakeholders Coordinate ad hoc mill visits Document & maintain best practices Continuously explore ways to improve Materials’ tools and processes Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics (or related field) or 2+ years of textile, retail, production, sourcing, supply chain management (or related experience) Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Platforms Advanced Excel skills
