Overview
Technical Designer Manager
The Technical Designer Manager effectively manages the team’s workload, calendar, and priorities across multiple Brands. Provides technical expertise that will maintain fit consistency and quality of the product. Identifies where blocks are needed and executes them. Mentors and develops the team to enhance their skillsets.
Responsibilities
- Mentors team on fit evaluation, balance and proportion of fit. Maximizes strengths of direct reports and identifies opportunities for skill improvement.
- Delivers timely, direct, and actionable feedback. Empowers others through delegation but capable of being hands-on when needed.
- Manage workflow and business needs as they evolve. Anticipates future consequences and creates or adjusts action plans accordingly.
- Create, update and utilize pattern blocks to ensure standards are being met.
- Collaborate with Design and Product Development teams to determine fit and aesthetics.
- Maintain fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality.
- Resolve and communicate fit and construction issues to International Buying Offices and factories within the development and production timelines.
- Daily communication and follow through with IBO, vendors, and all cross-functional partners.
- Enhance fit and quality through review of customer comments, competitive analysis, and conducting fit symposiums.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Patterns, fit, grading, and construction standards

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates confidence and assertiveness in fit presentation.

- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proactive on problem solving and resolution oriented.
- Proficiency in: Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Web PDM, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

USD $75,900.00 - USD $138,000.00 /Yr.
