Ensures we create best-in-class personalized experiences for Kohl’s customers through use of advanced analytics geared towards diagnostics, customer level 1:1 modeling, as well as in-market testing. Personalization Analytics Uses big data and advanced analytical techniques to optimize customer engagement and lifetime value Uses customer level 1:1 analysis/modeling for targeting initiatives Plays the lead role in consolidating learnings towards personalization initiatives that help make data based targeting more powerful over time Oversees flawless activation of tests, ensuring essential model runs, segmentation and timelines are provided to key stakeholders Ensures relevant analytics assets and tests are documented and that any insights are captured Team Leadership Manages and influences a team of individual contributors; Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise Creates and promotes an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications Develops team members through coaching, providing feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans Required Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative areas such as Applied Mathematics, data science or related field 7+ years of relevant analytics experience Experience coding in general purpose languages (Python, R, SAS) Experience with developing and scaling predictive models and optimization algorithms for marketing use cases (retail preferred) Preferred MBA and/or Masters / Ph.D. in the hard sciences, computer science, engineering, or other applicable field Ability to influence, collaborate and partner with teams and leaders across an organization
