Description Manages the department’s financials by developing and gaining agreement on budgets, goals, and plans, and ensuring that the financial strategy pursued is consistent with the brand growth plan. Your Impact: Highlight the business opportunities and risks associated with the current financial position of the business Lead team in tactical execution of Merchandise Planning process including lineplan management, building/revising/locking plans, and promotional architecture Present analysis in weekly merchant meetings, monthly Merchandise Planning Committee meetings and Quarterly Buy meetings Lead and manage the Merchandise Planning team in the development, analysis, and revision of sales, inventory, markdown, and turn targets Call out issues and problem solve at key business meetings Ensure that the financial strategy pursued is consistent with the budget and profit parameters Maintain risk assessment models that are used to determine buy levels and maintain profitability to budgets Manage new business testing and development in partnership with the merchandiser Provide the leadership and the necessary formal and informal training, including one-on-one development, needed to produce a team that contributes consistent financial growth to the business Work with other areas of the business, as needed, to ensure maximized profitability including Production, Product Development, Allocation, Merchandising and Finance Partner, recommend action, and communicate business analysis and opportunities to Merchandising which may hinder our ability to achieve our financial objectives Qualifications Your Experience: Five to seven years of retail merchandise or demand planning experience Additional Preferred Experience: Excellent analytical skills Demonstrates urgency and accuracy while multi-tasking Ability to work well within a team environment Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills Superior time management skills Expert technical skill proficiency using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Advanced technical skill proficiency using Enterprise Planning Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Supply Chain preferred An equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate in hiring or terms and conditions of employment because of an individual’s race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital status or any other protected category recognized by state, federal or local laws.
