The Manager of Fabric R&D manages the seasonal fabric buying, tracking and coordinating production process by coordinating the placement, execution and follow-up of manufacturing orders and by ensuring the timely delivery of quality, profitable goods. Work directly with design and product development to develop new fabrics Partners daily with designers, product developers and merchandisers to work through material and construction issues Maintains the Fabric Menu and Fabric Library Creates and maintains Fabric suppliers lists and menu for all fabric categories Key contact for fabric resources for design, development and marketing Communicates daily with the fabric suppliers to ensure fabrics are being developed, delivered, costed and produced appropriately as well as ensuring compliance with our quality standards.
