MANAGER, CUSTOMER STRATEGY

The Manager, Customer Strategy and Project will be responsible for overall customer strategy, segmentation and project management for our digital marketing team, key cross-functional partners including merchandising, planning, creative, IT, data analytics and external agency partners. This role will drive strategies for Email and SMS leading to results driven marketing programs. This role will be instrumental in enabling the digital team to perform in a fast-paced ever changing results driven environment. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Strategic thinker who can develop, design and deliver marketing strategies, new initiatives and operational/automation efficiencies. Serve as digital marketing and customer strategy subject matter expert in CRM, customer segmentation, data analytics and be the liasion between digital marketing and the larger cross-functional team including merchandising, planning, creative, analytics, IT, Ecom and Business Intelligence Ability to read campaign performance, provide actionable insights and next steps to email and SMS teams Extensive experience in email marketing, mobile marketing and SMS programs with experience managing ESP’s and mobile vendors Responsible for leading all aspects project implementation and technical design including; setting project priorities, scopes and plans business requirement documentations, solution documents, writing and delivering marketing briefs/wireframes, creative PSDs review, developing QA testing plans, leading QA timelines, steps and finding QA issues and working towards resolutions with on-time delivery of the project Utilize strong project management skills to track and deliver initiatives across the digital marketing team – which includes development of strategic marketing plans, requirements documentation, progress tracking, troubleshooting issues, partnering with internal and external teams and seeing projects through go-live Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems and projects, serve as the liaison between business and IT – driving projects forward to completion Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in marketing, digital marketing or equivalent practical experience, MBA a plus 5-10 years in marketing, digital marketing or IT project management Excellent digital marketing knowledge, project management skills and are a strategic thinker Experience managing multiple projects at one time, with competing deliverables, with ability to self-manage, project manage and mange teams and their responsibilities Understanding of email marketing, data integrations, ESP’s, SMS, loyalty, digital marketing and marketing operations Strong technical expertise with Database Designs, Data and Service Provider Platforms (Epsilon, SFMC, Responsys, Vibes, ProofPoint, Return Path and Validity), Analytic Platforms (Adobe Analytics and Tableau) and Security protocols such as SSL and data encryption Ability to develop and write business and data requirements and translated into a solution architecture and system design across marketing and technology platforms Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and iterative development principles are incorporated into project plans with daily team Scrum meetings and ongoing Sprint planning for project deliverables Skills and Behaviors: Ability to think strategically about business, products and technical challenges Provide strategies and solutions for complex business problems, applying technology and automation Self-motivated, ability to manage workload and set priorities for self and team Passion for marketing, solutions and project management in fast past environment Thrives in ownership of tasks and completing projects Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and implement remedies
