The Corporate Communications and Engagement team works cross-functionally with leaders to create compelling internal communications to inform, engage, connect, and motivate employees and develops and executes our external communications to tell the stories of our organization. The Manager, Corporate Communications & Engagement will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies and plans for a broad range of internal and external communications, events, philanthropic and community programs and activities, and recognition and engagement opportunities to enhance company culture, employee retention and drive results. This position will work closely with the Associate Manager, Learning & Engagement. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Support the Director, Corporate Communications & Engagement with the development and execution of a holistic external and internal communications strategy and plan to articulate the organization’s developments, metrics, and activities Develop and maintain all communication media and platforms, including but not limited to a regular newsletter, externally facing website, internally facing portal and town hall presentations Support the creation and execution of organizational announcements and alerts as needed Support the execution of organizational processes Comms Plans Support the organization’s DE&I Awareness & Involvement initiatives with a particular focus on developing, growing and maintaining Employee Resource Groups Plan, organize, and host engagement events, philanthropy programs and product donations Write and prepare compelling company-wide communications utilizing multiple channels including emails, videos, newsletters, presentations, brochures, program guides, and company events Interview key stakeholders and develop compelling stories, presentations, and infographics that bring the company’s mission, values, and objectives to life including creating video scripts, news-style stories, executive talking points, blogs, and podcasts Perform rigorous editing of communication materials to insure factual accuracy and consistency of information Take ownership of the company intranet by organizing, maintaining, and archiving content Research and gather source material, industry news, communication trends, and visual assets/images for projects Support the creation, maintenance, and distribution of various project calendars and process timelines including coordinating meeting agendas, meeting notes, and necessary follow-up Assist with metrics to evaluate effectiveness of internal communications strategies utilizing surveys, interviews, and focus groups Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, or related field 3-5 years of experience and/or previous internship experience Experience with Microsoft SharePoint a plus Skills and Behaviors: Knowledge of Adobe Graphic Design Application (Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in PowerPoint (Keynote a plus) Problem solving and decision making skills, with a focus on strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to be intuitive, to anticipate needs and develop options Ability to build credibility and trust by demonstrating high ethical standards Demonstrate extreme discretion, as work often involves confidential and sensitive information Ability to work on a team, contributing to team decision making, goal setting, and problem solving, and building cross-functional relationships Self-starter, with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once, reprioritize work to accommodate shifting priorities, and proactively initiate changes to improve work processes Must be able to balance being a team player with working independently Must be flexible, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple assignments while showing diplomacy and efficiency Must be customer focused, with the ability to interact and provide great service to the Internal Communications Team and to cross-functional partners across the company and to keep customers informed of status and progress of projects Ability to take the initiative on projects, ask probing questions, listen actively, share innovative ideas, and deliver to achieve results Must show attention to detail Demonstrated sense of cultural awareness and work with people across the globe Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow through on projects, from inception to completion, with a high degree of communication
