LOGISTICS FINANCIAL ANALYST

Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Mitigate critical issues by liaising with Sourcing, Ocean/Air Carriers, Freight Forwarders and Logistic service providers through weekly meetings and analysis of open payables. Manage 3rd party payment service provider performance: on-time invoice processing, carrier statement reconciliation, and invoice exception management – creating KPI’s to manage payment performance Maintain a supplier/partner Excel database, and manage payment forecasting and funding; report to Director of Logistics in preparation for weekly submission to Finance. Manage carrier credit terms and credit limit exposure by  reviewing contracts and monitoring against open payables Extract data from multiple systems  and help tell the story through consistent accurate reporting of KPI’s Test and suggest new reports in partnership with IT Business Intelligence in response to current business issues and execute the necessary changes to implement. Partner with Finance on outstanding expense accruals for the month end close process Complete special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, 2 years of experience in a Supply Chain support role, retail industry or logistics industry a plus Skills Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables Demonstrated ability to form cross functional relationships with key stakeholders and business partners Agile learner, self-starter and financial acumen Highly proficient in Excel (V-Look Ups, Pivots) SAP, Hyperion, Cognos, or Infor GT Nexus experience a plus
