As our Lead Apparel Application Design and Developer, you will create the future of bonded performance apparel through innovative aesthetic and application execution. The candidate needs to have passion for innovation, performance apparel and hands-on problem solving. You will need strong communication skills with teammates across the organization, including expert listening, collaborative problem solving and deep emotional intelligence. Design seasonal and multi-year apparel application solutions that target financial goals and performance criteria as defined in the brief and directed by the Strategic Design Manager Successfully lead complex projects from conceptual start to final design delivery with passion and ownership Ideate on identified product opportunities and strategies through R&D, sketching and or physical prototyping Translate macro ideas into storytelling that delivers relevant commercial concepts that can impact the bottom line and inspire customers Collaborate with key brand customers to bring their ideas to life through consultation, prototyping, education and hands on working sessions Use of empathy and non-linear thinking: we would like for you to be able to see the consumer as a person and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind Refine Brand Customer concept direction and complete design hand-offs following ‘Brand’ specification standards Partner with global manufacturing team members to apply working knowledge of factory production requirements as it relates to feasibility, scalability, costing and performance of bonded designs Experience: Bachelor’s degree in design or related field; fashion design, product design, industrial design, textile design required or 2+ years of additional professional design experience In lieu of a degree.
