Junior Photographer

Junior Photographer Komar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing and distribution of apparel with a diverse portfolio of owned and licensed brands is seeking a Junior Photographer. Candidates must have the ability to work remotely and in our Jersey City, NJ office. The Junior Photographer will be responsible for creating on-figure and flat-lay e-commerce imagery that meet Komar quality standards. This role requires the candidate to support and assist lead photographer as photo assistant and digital tech. The Junior Photographer is responsible for (but not limited to): Execution of in-house e-commerce product photography as needed Photo assist the lead photographer in executing photo and video shoots Ability to learn and perform digital tech duties Light and compose on-model e-commerce photography consistent with visual quality guidelines Style, arrange and photograph loungewear and lingerie garments for flat-lay imagery Communicate with and direct models Collaborate with brand managers to ensure their imagery needs are met Set up and maintain studio lighting under direction of lead photographer Build and break down sets and photo equipment Provide hands-on assistance in props and set-builds such as painting and crafting Ensure digital asset management workflows are properly followed Help maintain cleanliness and organization of photo studio, including wardrobe and prop closet Help maintain and update studio inventory records Help maintain camera and lighting equipment Qualifications: College degree or diploma in photography Knowledge of photographic techniques such as lighting, composition and camera functions Experience with studio fashion photography and strobe lighting such as Profoto Experience with handling photo studio equipment and grip Ability to lift equipment and climb ladders Knowledge of related software including Capture One Pro, Adobe Photoshop and Chronosync Proficient in Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Excel Website or portfolio of photography Enthusiasm for learning and improving skills Ability to work well within a team Willingness to perform additional duties as needed and contribute to a variety of tasks Has a positive attitude and eagerness to assist photography and production team as needed
