Position Summary:

The Junior Designer, Sweater Collection for Karl Lagerfeld Paris will play a vital role in the design and development of a stylish and commercially relevant sweater line. This position assists the design team throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production, contributing to the brand’s strategic and financial goals. We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented designer eager to grow in a dynamic fashion environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:Create hand and Adobe Illustrator sketches for product development.Assist in the preparation of design packages, including tech packs and line sheets.Research and innovate materials, yarns, and designs each season.Maintain and prepare tech packs from initial design through production.Organize design materials such as artwork, trims, and development samples.Participate in garment fittings and assist with fit updates.Revise tech packs and communicate modifications to production facilities.Submit and approve artworks, lab dips, and other development samples.Create CAD presentations for both internal and external audiences.Production and Overseas Communication:Manage charts for overseas sample requests.Maintain daily communication with factories regarding product developments.Prepare samples for meetings and market appointments.Assist with PLM data entry and BOM creation.Coordinate product development timelines domestically and internationally.Who You Are:

Bachelor's or technical degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience.1-3 years of experience in sweater design preferred.Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Strong technical sketching and design skills.Knowledge of sweater construction and garment development processes.Familiarity with overseas factories and vendors preferred.Ability to identify and interpret fashion trends.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience with PLM systems and BOM creation preferred.Candidate Requirements:
