Job Summary: The Jr. Technical Designer works with the Technical Design and Design teams to create development tech packs. This is an important role that the overall administrative needs of the department. Responsibilities: Assist in creating technical packages with construction details and specifications according to Design’s style direction Track pending fit samples to meet fitting dates Prepare for Design fittings by organizing samples with tech packs, earlier fit notes and protos as needed Communicate fit comments through detailed sketches, revised specifications and/or pattern adjustments after Design fittings Assist head patternmaker by issuing RFDs for sample room cuts and maintain Work-In-Progress chart Update/maintain Line Review Chart and other departmental resources Desired Background: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design or Patternmaking Experience: 2+ years’ experience in Technical Design or Patternmaking Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Web PDM, DeSL a plus, Browzwear a plus
