The Jewelry (fine and fashion) Selling Assistant for Marissa Collections is responsible for supporting the jewelry specialist in achieving department sales goals. Responsible for daily operations and supporting jewelry department as detailed below.
Merchandising:
In partnership with buyer, manages floor presentation by designer and key items maintaining visual presentation for bottom line sales growthDevelops input for store management and buyer for monthly sales projections and department resultsParticipates in style-out meetings with buyer and stylists, and ensures project knowledge is in compliance for entire staff on weekly basisDevelop product knowledge of stylists for seasonal trends by designer and client opportunityPeople Development:
Stylist motivation for productive coaching on a daily basisParticipate along with buyer in team building activities to support and develop a teamwork atmosphereStrong daily communication with, jewelry director, jewelry specialist, buying team, operation associate, PB management and store stylistsOperational Responsibilities:
Opening and closing jewelry and the storePhysical InventoryQuality controls and checkingPOS standards maintainedAdhere to policy and procedure guidelinesLoss prevention standards maintained and followedAssist in ringing salesRepairs and client follow-upParticipate in day to day operationsRinging sales for all departments. Utilize Retail ProHelp stylists with Fine Jewelry questionsVendor communication follow-up on orders, deliveries, repairsTrunk Show packing/unpacking and reconciliationTRUNKSHOW
Assist with Trunk Show packing/unpacking and reconciliationAssist the sales manager in pulling client lists and stylist client outreach follow-upMarketing & Events
Piercing events – assist jewelry sales manager oversee and execute piercing eventsCreate client outreach plans for events, (ie. Selecting jewelry for client needs)Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.Previous experience working with fine jewelry, fashion jewelry, watches, accessories, or luxury merchandise preferred.Previous experience with POS systemsExperience supporting trunk shows, special events, vendor appointments, or clienteling activities preferred.Marissa Collections offers a full complement of benefits, to include medical, dental, vision, supplemental, and retirement options.
