IT Manager ii (Workforce Management)

Areas of focus include managing and executing end to end process related to opening new stores, remodel projects, people management, communication, individual contributions and client management activities. \- Strengthen long-term client relationships within departments/divisions \- Collaborates with internal client peer groups to identify needs and evaluate business solutions \- Set and manage internal client expectations \- Influence and drive alignment of key decisions on projects \- Manage and deliver presentations that take into account the perspective of all related parties \- Influence, manage, coach and mentor team members and provide feedback, as needed \- Lead status meetings with team and oversee effective facilitation \- Set communication flow activities to keep the team well informed of changes within their departments, functions and organization \- Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion \- Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully \- Ensure timely communication of critical information to superiors and other parties as needed \- Perform individual activities to support the operations as necessary \- Other duties as assigned \- 8-10 years of experience in the IT field or equivalent work experience \- Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Information Systems or Computer science, or an equivalent diploma \- Strong technical background in store equipment such as hardware and network \- Demonstrated project management experience \- Strong analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis skills \- Strong driver and executor with ability to deep dive into the details \- Strong verbal skills, including the ability to present to and coordinate with IT and business leadership \- Demonstrated ability to execute basic financial analysis, such as forecasting and ROI \- Minimum of 1 year in supervisory/managerial position \- Ability to frequently interact with direct reports, customers and peer group managers involving matters between functional areas, other division or units, or customers and IT. Preferred Qualifications \- Working experience in Retail, particularly with Store systems \- Programming experience with any computer language \- Strong analytical, problem solving, root cause analysis, and debugging skills \- Store deployment/field experience -- rollout of hardware/software across distributed systems/users \- Vendor Management experience \- Possess an understanding of IT capabilities such as telephony, wireless devices, servers and security (cross-functional concepts) \- Experience in dealing with other cross-functional teams (IT or business) \- Demonstrated ability to manage staff remotely, across multiple time zones \- Demonstrated experience strengthening and maintaining inter- and cross- functional relationships (IT, Property Development, Loss Prevention, Store Operations, Store HR) \- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Visio \- Experience with (Sun Solaris) UNIX and Windows operating systems \- Experience with relational databases - specifically Oracle, SQL Server and Non-STOP SQL Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
