Overview The Technical Design team ensures all product is consistent with brand standards and seasonal design concepts for a specific classification. Technical Designers leverage skills in garment grading/specifications, fit and construction, fabrics, sewing operations, and pattern making. Responsibilities • Track samples in and out of the department to facilitate the development process and update sample status charts.• Assist in garment measurement and record against issued specs.• Attend fittings, assist with documenting through noted and pictures.• Learn how the garment commenting process works and eventually start to do some of them• Assist supervisor with various projects as needed.• Assist technical designer during initial tech pack development for each new season.• Attend cross-functional meetings to gain an understanding of the product lifecycle.• Provide administrative assistance, such as filing, record keeping, etc.
