**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Alterations Professional to provide expert tailoring and garment alteration services for custom clothing. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and delivering exceptional quality.

**Compensation:**

### Responsibilities, Requirements, and Qualifications:

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Perform high-quality alterations on custom garments, including suits, jackets, trousers, and shirts
+ Execute precise fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal garment fit and client satisfaction
+ Work independently to manage alteration requests in a timely and efficient manner
+ Maintain consistent quality standards and attention to detail across all garments
+ Communicate effectively regarding timelines, garment needs, and any alteration considerations

**Requirements:**

- **Must own and maintain all necessary sewing and tailoring equipment**
- Proven experience in alterations and tailoring, specifically with custom or high-end garments
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Reliable, professional, and responsive communication skills
- Provide references
- Show examples of work

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience working with luxury or made-to-measure clothing
* Ability to handle complex alterations and specialty fabrics
* Flexible availability to meet business needs
* Demonstrate the ability to ask clarifying questions when instructions or expectations are unclear
* Proactively communicate when a requested alteration cannot reasonably be completed due to insufficient fabric/materials time constraints, cost-effectiveness, or other limitations
