Description POSITION SUMMARY The position of Import Coordinator will report directly to the Manager of Imports and will frequently collaborate with other team members to ensure goods are effectively delivered. This position will have significant responsibility coordinating and directing the movement of inbound container freight and air shipments. • Shipment management with our forwarders and factories • Prioritize daily workflow according to company’s needs • Be proactive and work in advance of upcoming imports • Run reports to supply visibility to our teams • Liaison between factories and forwarders • Ensure accuracy of data into HBIS, our operating platform • Communicate with appropriate teams on any delivery concerns • Ensure our forwarders are following established SOPs • Perform all data entry for shipping document creation and carrier assignment • Document, update, and follow Standard Operating Procedures established to achieve high levels of quality services • Use different external web sites in order to effectively track shipments and update HBIS in addition to generating paperwork if needed • Perform track and trace functions as well as exception management follow up • Develop knowledge using our 3PL’s tracking system.
