ILLUSTRATOR/GRAPHIC ARTIST/DESIGNER--SCREEN PRINT INDUSTRY Tropical Enterprises Limited, Inc., Port Orange, FL Illustrator/Graphic Artist/Designer—In-House Only (M-F Full Time) Salary: to be determined NOTE: PORT ORANGE, FL ON A DAILY BASIS. Our customer base is remarkably diverse, so candidate must have an adaptable style to fit within a wide range of customer aesthetics. Responsibilities: • Create original, highly detailed illustrated designs for screen printed t-shirts • Create custom logos and branding for clients’ businesses and merchandise • Digital prepress, preparing approved designs for screen printing (color separations, underlays, registration, etc.) • Ability to redraw graphics and artwork from images provided by reps/customers • Create layout and design of promotional/marketing materials (inc. flyers, ads, brochures, catalogs, menus) • Possess strong creativity, illustration and design skills • Generate renderings at a fast pace • Have excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills • Multi-task on multitude of projects at once in various stages of completion • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines, prioritize and organize in accordance with changing project priorities • Work independently (on-site only) as well as within a team • Communicate with staff and clients via email, phone and in person and respond to questions from all sources • Work with a variety of clients with ability to understand and interpret their ideas into original artwork • Ability to coordinate project scheduling with sales department • Upload designs onto web for online viewing and approval Requirements: • Education: Completion of 2-4 years of college/art institution with art or graphic design degree • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in Graphic Design/Illustration in the custom apparel/screen print industry • Strong illustration and design skills with ability to execute full, clean, detailed designs in up to 10 colors • Ability to execute and design engaging, conceptual print materials • Knowledge of screen printing and separations • Creative thinking ability, capability of creating original art, illustrations, or improving/duplicating existing art • Excellent time management skills with ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines • Ability to design quickly with fast turnaround and keep up with moderate to heavy workload • Ability to accept constructive criticism and adjust work accordingly • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Must be even-tempered, team- spirited, and able to work with a variety of personalities in an effective manner • Basic knowledge of web design and internet image format • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat on Mac platform • Excellent and extensive portfolio and/or website required • Resume required along with three professional references NOTE: THIS
