Candidates should have a degree in textile surface design with an interest in home fashion. Focus of this position will be designing for Mass retailers such as Walmart and Costco. Must be highly proficient with Mac operating systems and Adobe Creative Suite software, including Illustrator, Photoshop including Dimension. Understanding of printing process, woven fabrics, product construction, sewing and embroidery techniques and terminology. Design, production and spec art Possess a keen creative eye for design and be able to research product trends for design and product development Must be able to render 3D technical drawings Must understand how to create a pattern repeat, design a layout and have an excellent color sense Must be able to work independently and in a team setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with strong attention to detail
