Responsibilities Perform day-to-day analysis, explore and examine data Produce accurate demand forecasts at all relevant levels of the merchandise hierarchy, down to SKU/location with knowledge of seasonal strategies, business trends, promotions, history, out of stocks, etc. to meet organization goals Generate forecasts based on pre-defined profiles and continuously maintaining those profiles based on performance Apply future statistical projections and extrapolations based on historical data patterns and trends Predict and incorporate the effect of events, promotions and other factors Seek extrinsic knowledge from business teams and come to a forecast consensus Organize data to identify trends, curate meaningful insights and communicate the implications of collected data Monitor and analyze performance against forecasts Work with Item Planner to understand forecast impacts to overall inventory by item/SKU/Loc Collaborates with Data Scientist when predictions are not accurate Responsible for producing highly accurate demand forecasts at relevant levels of the hierarchy to maximize the supply chain Responsible for monitoring demand forecasts and ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of data Responsible for communicating and explaining statistical models and recommendations to diverse audiences Collaborate with Merchandise Financial Planner, Item Planner and others that consume the demand forecast Qualifications Open to learning, exploring and has a high level of curiosity Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical information to various levels throughout the organization Strong ability to organize, analyze and compare relevant data from multiple sources; to identify trends, patterns and exceptions; and to quickly develop hypotheses for further investigation Ability to prioritize and propose solutions for unique business needs Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge Demand planning background a plus Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
