GARMENT QA SPECIALIST

In this role, you will inspect orders and relevant documentation before, during, and after production to ensure quality standards and construction specifications are met. Compile inspection data into written audit reports. Inspection duties include but are not limited to: Sew construction, cut quality, embellishment type and positioning, proper use of raw materials, garment measurements both finished and unfinished, print color standards, packaging protocols, heat press dwell settings, tech packs and production documents Conduct pre-production meetings with relevant parties before production starts Monitor factory orders as they move through the production process in order to initiate audits at key transition points – inline and end of line Report quality concerns to either department supervisor or operations manager Assist in troubleshooting the cause of quality issues and resolve problems to prevent them from re-occurring Review tech packs and author audit forms for each order using Microsoft Excel Author production reports outlining audit findings and comment on the strengths and weaknesses of the production process Engage employees during audit to learn their roles, duties, methodology, and instruction provided to them by their superiors. Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience working at an apparel manufacturing facility in a position focused on quality control Good working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures Technical knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and apparel manufacturing Familiarity with production sewing, sew construction methods, and stitch types Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables) and Access Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Please submit a resume for immediate consideration.
