As an Assistant Store Leader, you'll play a vital role in fostering a team environment that promotes inclusivity and positive connections. In this position, you'll support the Store Manager in leading the team to achieve store objectives, including sales and profit goals, recruiting, performance management, training, and development.
What You'll Do:
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the store meets company objectives and achieves KPI goals.
• Lead operations to maintain a sound business by adhering to company policies, procedures, loss prevention, payroll management, reporting, and scheduling.
• Assist in recruiting, developing, and training top talent focused on sales, customer service, and fashion.
• Set the standard for The Torrid Connection, ensuring the team delivers a shopping experience that fosters customer loyalty and positive connections.
• Work with the Store Manager to implement merchandise strategies while maintaining a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that encourages customer shopping.
• Maintain effective communication with the Store Manager and District Manager.
What You'll Need:
• At least six months of experience in specialty/apparel retail management, demonstrating the ability to lead teams successfully and achieve sales performance.
• Proven multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment, while committed to delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing retail and fashion landscape, including challenges and work schedules.
• A keen interest in fashion trends and current styles.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
• Able to stand and walk during scheduled hours.
• Able to pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, or other retrieving tools.
