The brand is carried in its flagship store at ROW DTLA, as well as Anthropologie, Rent the Runway, Madewell, and boutiques nationwide, and is a favorite of Meryl Streep, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, and more.

Position Overview:

BEL KAZAN is seeking an experienced Designer to support our creative team in the development of seasonal collections. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about ethical fashion, design, and the storytelling behind every garment. The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong technical and organizational skills and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is a freelance, hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

Assist Lead Designer with concept development, color palettes, and print directionCreate detailed technical flats, CADs, and line sheets for each collectionSupport in preparing tech packs, construction details, and BOMsResearch trends, silhouettes, and trims aligned with BEL KAZAN’s design ethosHelp coordinate sample development with our Bali and India production teamAttend fittings and take detailed notes for revisions and follow-upsMaintain collection overviews and seasonal line guidesQualifications:

2 years of experience or internship in fashion design (contemporary/women’s preferred)Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopStrong understanding of garment construction and fabric applicationsExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on multiple projectsStrong sense of aesthetic aligned with BEL KAZAN’s modern yet timeless styleHighly organized, self-motivated, and collaborativeDegree in Fashion Design or related field preferredTechnical Designer with experience in Knits and sweaters preferredExperience with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace a plusWho You Are:
