Freelance Digital Pattern-Maker

I am starting a pattern company and am looking for a pattern maker to translate drawings into digitized patterns ready for PDF and printed versions for the home sewing market. This will include fitting and subsequent adjustments. This is a hybrid position requiring occasional in-person meetings (in the Portland, OR area), though the majority of the work will be done at home. Responsibilities Draft patterns based on sketches and verbal description Use a fitting model to determine any adjustments to the pattern and draft those adjustments Assist with sewing construction instructions Grade pattern for a standard size run Qualifications Excellent sewing skills Advanced knowledge of garment construction A degree in fashion design or equivalent in a certificate program with pattern making and/or technical design as emphasis At least two years of experience in digitized pattern- making at a professional level
