We are currently seeking a freelance or contract Technical Designer to support our development process on a project-by-project basis. Role Overview:
As a Technical Designer (Contract), you will be responsible for translating design concepts into production-ready specifications. You will work closely with our design and sourcing teams to develop accurate tech packs, manage fit processes, and ensure smooth communication with manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed tech packs (including flats, BOMs, measurements, construction details, and grading).
Collaborate with designers to interpret creative vision into manufacturable specs.
Lead virtual or in-person fit sessions, providing clear feedback to patternmakers and factories.
Liaise with global vendors to track samples and resolve construction or fit issues.
Support multiple development timelines and client projects simultaneously.
Ensure accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.

Qualifications:
4–6+ years of experience as a Technical Designer in the fashion industry (freelance or in-house).
Expert in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PLM systems a plus.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, fit, and grading.
Experience working with overseas vendors and understanding of production timelines.
Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
Clear communicator with a solutions-oriented mindset.
