Salary/Hourly Rate: $20-$23/hr Position Overview: This Freelance Color Assistant is responsible for assisting in the color approval process for ensuring adherence to the desired color standards and color consistency encompassing various tasks necessary to assist in the review of color submits from mills and maintaining history of the approval process. In addition, assistance is provided to the designers to ensure that they have the necessary tools to be able to execute their color inspiration. Responsibilities of the Freelance Color Assistant: Maintain history of all lab dips/bulks Manage all seasonal filling of lab dip/trims and bulk Pull rejects/approvals of all submits (lab dip, bulk and trims) for color review File all lab dip, bulk and trims – approvals/rejects Distribute color comments to vendor/mills accordingly Enter comments into SharePoint Manage color standard inventory/filing/distribution Responsible for ordering all seasonal color standards and design tools Responsible for ordering any ?out of stock? design tools or color standards as needed Manage receipt of all seasonal color standard and design tools Maintain inventory on all color standards and design tools File all color standards to be used in Color Evaluations in color roomo Distribute color tools to concept teams on a seasonal and as needed basis Create seasonal color binders for design/production Create seasonal color palettes for color department and merchant use Maintain pantone color books , CSI Color Wall and Archroma Fluorescent Library Other projects and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications for the Freelance Color Assistant: Preferable in Color Technology or equivalent Textile/Apparel Degree Ability to see and assess color (Must pass the Munsell color test.)
