FREELANCE ASSOCIATE EDITOR

Duration: ASAP – ongoing Responsibilities: Partner closely with brand and design leads to understand seasonal and ongoing narrative arc for respective brand/division Support in translating these narratives into a program of lifestyle and styling content that brings these concepts, inspirations, and stories to life in compelling, editorially driven ways Partner with design, marketing and social leads to create stories and content that flows across the digital ecosystem, from site to social, and other channels as needed Oversee lifestyle and style content editorial calendar and ensure all deadlines are hit. Closely monitor performance metrics, using data to inform decision making where relevant Coordinate input from company divisions to ensure significant brand and company initiatives are covered Oversee a roster of top-tier freelance talent across relevant area, ensuring deliverables are met and assisting with management of those relationships Work with copy editors and fact-checkers to ensure accuracy of all content Stay abreast of trends in our business and in the culture at large, continually evolving and adapting our approach to stay relevant while remaining true to the iconic brand DNA Qualifications: 2-3+ years of experience as an editor at a relevant fashion and lifestyle publication A deep appreciation and understanding for our brand, as well as the broader landscape of fashion, luxury, lifestyle, and innovation Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple stakeholders as well as external trends, and generate potential stories Must have an ability to write smart, concise display copy Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, advertising or related discipline Savvy understanding of the digital landscape, including web and social, and passion for emerging digital technologies.
