About the Role
Major Label Group is seeking a Part-Time Production Coordinator to support our Production team across multiple accounts. We work with major retailers including Walmart, Ross, Stitch Fix, Kohl’s, Target, and others.
The Production Coordinator will assist with all aspects of production after a purchase order is placed with the factory through final shipment and collection of shipping documents. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and production timelines.
The position reports directly to the VP of Production.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor production for all open orders to ensure deadlines, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
Support production needs across multiple retail and private-label accounts.
Track orders from purchase order placement through final shipment and receipt of shipping documentation.
Work closely with Design, Product Development, Sales, and Production teams to confirm product specifications and requirements.
Communicate with overseas factories, agents, and vendors regarding production orders, sample approvals, timelines, packaging, costing, and shipment status.
Assist with sample approvals and follow up on outstanding items to keep production on schedule.
Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders as needed.
Maintain detailed WIP (Work in Progress) reports and manage multiple styles and SKUs.
Track production deadlines and proactively communicate potential delays or issues.
Ensure packaging, labeling, ticketing, and other customer-specific requirements are properly followed.
Organize and archive production samples for future reference.
Assist the Production team with additional projects and day-to-day responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in apparel production, preferably as a Production Coordinator, Production Assistant, or similar role.
Knowledge of the garment/apparel industry and production process.
Mandarin Chinese proficiency is preferred but not required, to assist with factory and vendor communication.
Experience communicating with overseas factories, vendors, and agents.
Experience with major retail and private-label accounts such as Walmart, Ross, Stitch Fix, Kohl’s, and Target is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, styles, SKUs, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and follow-up skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
