Fashion Merchandising Intern

We are looking to hire a highly motivated and ambitious intern to join our team and support us in our merchandising department during our signature event, the Houston Pro-Am basketball league. The ideal candidate is someone who is currently pursuing or has recently received a degree in fashion merchandising or a related field and is looking to gain retail experience in a... fast-paced environment. This person will work closely with our management team as well as the Graphic Design team. This role is based in Houston, TX. • Work our Merchandise booth during our summer season of the Houston Basketball Pro-Am • Sell NEPL gear and keep up with inventory • Weekly reporting, closely analyzing sales trends and areas of opportunity with our NEPL brand • Maintain and ensure accuracy of the merchandising teams style assortment • Competitive research, identifying industry trends and how they relate to our customers • Support merchant in sales analysis, identifying weekly sell-through rates, keep rates, and strategizing for slow inventory • Build assortment boards, guides, and assist in creating cross-functional presentations • Assisting in the all around production of the NEX Fashion Affair Fundraising Fashion Show • Work with the team and utilize each individuals strengths • Registering designers, vendors, models, hair & makeup and other talent • Coordinating with the flow of the event start to finish • Reaching out to sponsors/donors • Assist with our merchandise to sell during the event • Create look books for H & MU for each designer • Assist with front and back of house • Assist with any other events for Jillian Williams Productions
