The fashion fellow is a two-year grant-funded position that is responsible for the research, development, and execution of an exhibition about a collection of Judith Lieber handbags that will recognize the importance of Leiber as a designer, innovator, Holocaust survivor and immigrant who invented a unique American idea of style. The fellow will also select fashions from The... Mint Museum’s illustrious collection to add visual and cultural context to the exhibition. Work period: July 2024-through July 2026. • Review Leiber objects and records at the Mint • Research objects at the Lieber Collection, East Hampton, Long Island • Research objects at the Taubman Museum of Art, Roanoke, VA • Select twenty fashions from the collection of The Mint Museum • Create exhibition checklist • Prepare content for exhibition interpretive plan, including text panels, labels, gallery guide, social media posts, and other published material • Work with Collections & Exhibitions team on exhibition design and installation • Attend exhibition opening suite of events and programs/ conduct gallery tours • Other related curatorial and administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Curator
