Fashion Designer Trainer

This is a contract, on-site role based in Centre County, PA, requiring daily presence at the training location. Additional duties may include coordinating with program managers, maintaining training materials and equipment, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in fashion design, including concept development, sketching, pattern cutting, draping, fabric selection, and garment construction.Experience in training, teaching, or mentoring in fashion or related creative fields, with the ability to explain techniques clearly and adjust to varied learning styles.Strong portfolio showcasing original designs and technical skills, preferably with experience in ready‑to‑wear, couture, or sustainable fashion.Knowledge of current fashion trends, design software (such as Adobe Illustrator or similar tools), and basic textile science.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment.Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple learners and projects simultaneously in an on-site setting.Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.Prior experience working with community‑focused or nonprofit programs is an advantage, as is an interest in education, skill development, and social impact.#J-18808-Ljbffr
