Pretty Garbage is a fast‑growing women’s wholesale apparel brand based in Los Angeles. We are hiring Fashion Designers at the levels of Assistant, Associate, or Designer depending on experience. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for trends, understands the wholesale customer, and can work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Fashion Designer
Minimum 5 years of experience in wholesale women’s apparel.
Strong fashion sense with the ability to identify, interpret, and forecast trends for the Pretty Garbage customer.
Lead the design and development process from concept through production.
Create detailed tech packs, maintain WIP updates, and lead fittings as needed.
Ability to manage multiple categories and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, fabric, and trims.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Compensation for Fashion Designer: 75,000–90,000 per year, depending on experience
Associate Designer
Minimum 3 years of experience in wholesale women’s apparel.
Strong fashion sense with the ability to identify and forecast trends.
Assist in creating and developing styles from concept through production.
Create detailed tech packs, maintain WIP updates, and attend fittings as needed.
Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Compensation for Associate Designer: 60,000–70,000 per year, depending on experience
Assistant Designer
1–2 years of experience preferred (internships or entry‑level experience in fashion design a plus).
AA or BA degree in Fashion Design, or equivalent experience/education.
Assist designers with daily design and development tasks (CADs, line sheets, sample tracking, trim boards, etc.).
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and stay organized across many styles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Team player with a willingness to learn and take feedback.
Compensation for Assistant Designer: 45,000–55,000 per year
Pay: $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
