Responsibilities

Conceptualize and develop original fashion designs that align with seasonal themes and brand identity
Create detailed sketches and technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to communicate design ideas clearly
Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to develop accurate patterns and prototypes for production
Oversee the product lifecycle from initial concept through sample creation, fitting, and final production
Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure designs meet market demands and retail strategies
Conduct fabric and color research, applying principles of color theory and fabric selection to enhance design appeal
Coordinate with garment construction teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience in fashion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles and technical skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for design development and presentation
Skilled in CAD software for pattern making and technical specifications
Knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation
Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes within the fashion industry
Strong understanding of fashion retail trends, styling, merchandising, and visual presentation
Ability to illustrate concepts through sketches or digital illustrations effectively
Experience with fabric selection, color coordination, and application of color theory principles
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams including marketing, production, and retail
