As a Fashion/Apparel Designer at Royal Change, you will play a crucial role in developing and bringing to life our next line of workout and athleisure apparel while having the opportunity to help grow and oversee the product division within Royal Change with one of the top fitness professionals in the world. Meet deadlines for concept to in-house delivery • Validate apparel specifications from original design as compared to manufacturer samples • Participate in writing product descriptions and size charts to be uploaded to website • Collaborate with owners and suppliers to meet specific deadlines • Contribute to product launch preparations • Help build out and implement merchandising and design team in coordination with growing company demand and needs • Create innovative and trendsetting designs for various apparel collections, including sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes • Conduct market research to identify emerging fashion trends, fabrics, color, and techniques, and incorporate them into new designs • Work closely with the merchandising and product development teams to ensure designs are executed accurately and are meeting the desired fit intention • Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments that enhance the design and align with our overall brand goals and quality standards • Participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs to ensure the best fit and functionality • Be proactive in correcting issues, improving workflow, and suggesting thoughtful ideas. Requirements: • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred but not required • Proven experience as a Fashion/Apparel Designer, preferably in the fitness or athleisure industry • 5-10 Years experience in Women’s Fitness Apparel Industry • 5 years minimum experience in sourcing, production, merchandising, purchasing, pricing/costing and development • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative and functional design work • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools • Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textile technologies • Strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and ability to meet deadlines • Creative, innovative, and forward-thinking mindset • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Technical design experience with fabric and garment construction, patterns and manufacturing processes • Experience in maintaining effective industry network and knowledge with industry association working committees • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills and exceptional follow-through • Excellent negotiating skills and ability to resolve conflict • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate international teams • Knowledge of trade regulations, production cycle timeline, calendar management, fabric construction and manufacturing • Proven experience as an Apparel Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs • Strong sense of fashion trends and the ability to translate them into marketable designs
