Fashion Design Assistant

Overview

Bring ideas to life as a Fashion Design Assistant. You’ll support the design process from early concepts through garment development, combining creative thinking with practical knowledge of textiles, construction, and merchandising. You’ll collaborate across teams and help keep design work organized and ready for review.

Job Description

· Work with design and sales on daily basis

· Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories from suppliers and maintaining records of materials.

Prepping samples (tag, check for accuracy, call out notes) and maintaining sample archivesCreating swatch cardsPhotographing samples and maintaining records· Organize and maintain the design studio, including keeping track of samples, materials, and supplies.

· Support the design team in administrative tasks such as organizing schedules, preparing design documents, data entry, and managing design achieves.

· Assist the Sales Team in tasks assigned to them.

Requirements/Qualifications

· Excellent sense of style and color.

· Outstanding time management and organization skills.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to meet multiple deadlines.

· A passion for fashion and a deep understanding of current and emerging trends, especially in Girls/Junior apparel.

· Enthusiasm for fashion, creativity, and a desire to learn and grown in a fast-paced environment.

· High level of creativity

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
