Join us as we empower women to express their unique style through thoughtfully curated collections.Role Summary:We’re looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Fashion Apparel Designer to support the design and development of our collections from concept through production. This role is ideal for a designer who can seamlessly balance creative design with technical execution — owning garment construction, fit, and technical specs while also creating original prints, patterns, and surface designs.You’ll work closely with leadership to bring thoughtfully designed, production-ready apparel to life. This role requires both strong aesthetic sensibility and a deep understanding of garment construction and technical design. This position is part-time and in-person in Downtown Los Angeles .Responsibilities:Apparel Design & Concept DevelopmentDesign seasonal apparel collections aligned with brand identity and creative directionCreate original prints, patterns, and surface designs for garments across categoriesDevelop color palettes, print layouts, and pattern placements for productionResearch trends, fabrics, silhouettes, and market direction to inform design decisionsTechnical Design & Product DevelopmentCreate detailed tech packs, including measurements, construction details, BOMs, and calloutsDevelop and maintain accurate spec sheets for all stylesReview and comment on samples, fittings, and revisions to ensure fit, quality, and design intentCommunicate fit and construction feedback clearly to factories and production partnersCollaborate on fabric, trim, and material selection to ensure production feasibilityPrint, Pattern & Graphic DesignDesign repeat prints, engineered prints, and placement graphicsPrepare print-ready files and colorways for productionWork with vendors to approve strike-offs, lab dips, and print samplesEnsure accurate scaling, color consistency, and placement across sizes and stylesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with production and operations teams to meet development timelinesCollaborate with merchandising and leadership on assortment planning and pricing considerationsSupport photoshoots and fittings as needed to ensure product accuracy and representationQuality & Production SupportAssist in production approvals and pre-production checksEnsure garments meet quality, fit, and construction standards prior to bulk productionSupport troubleshooting during sampling and production as issues ariseRequirements3–6 years of experience in apparel design with hands‑on technical design and print & patternmaking experienceBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field from an accredited institution or recognized fashion schoolStrong understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, and patternmaking principlesProven experience creating tech packs and managing fittingsExperience designing prints, patterns, and surface graphics for apparelProficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopExperience working directly with overseas factoriesStrong understanding of fabrications, trims, and production methodsAbility to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentExcellent communication and organization skillsKnowledge of PLM systemsExperience across multiple apparel categories (woven, knit, cut & sew)Background in contemporary or premium apparel brandsBased in Los Angeles — in‑person roleCareer growth within a dynamic, collaborative teamCompetitive pay: $25 - $35 per hour based on experienceOccasional product perks and team eventsHow to Apply:If you’re a self‑starter with a passion for fashion and operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you!Send your resume and a short cover letter to [email protected] with the subject line:#J-18808-Ljbffr
