Fashion Accessories - Designer

Leading fashion company in New York City has an exciting opportunity for an organized and creative candidate to join their team. This company leads the industry in manufacturing, licensing and distributing of fashion accessories, footwear, handbags, hosiery and intimate apparel. We are currently looking for candidates for the Fashion Accessory design department with a focus on hats, scarves, gloves and cold weather accessories. In this role you will be responsible to develop multiple cold weather and fashion accessories goods/brands and private label collections in a growing and exciting environment. Responsible for development and design of product, including research, sketching, tech packs and pre-production confirmations from concept to final execution Track full development cycle of samples Maintain, update and share linesheets, PLM (style guide software), costing recaps and sample requests Coordinate with overseas office to develop new products, problem-solve design issues, approve materials and supervise sample lot production through daily communication Responsible for all product corrections and execution through delivery Maintain knowledge of fashion trends, shop market, attend trend meetings and leather shows Work closely with business leaders and sales teams to address specific requests and build well-rounded collections Prepare design presentations and linesheets Attend sales meetings to and present line to buyers, meet with customers and generally assist in the sales and presentation process
