Through learning, building strong networks, and using their new skills, our participants overcome barriers to business ownership and employment, and ultimately, change the economics of the fashion industry. Our flexible curriculum responds to student feedback and offers cooperative-learning experiences that build leadership and teamwork skills. Students graduate from the training program with the skills and knowledge required for both entry- level careers in the fashion industry and independent businesses. Responsibilities: ● Introduce participants to forms of Business Ownership, including starting and structuring a business, the importance of a Business Plan and how to develop strategies for building their own business, ensuring that they will complete the course with a well-thought-out written business plan ● Ensure participants understand Product Development, pricing strategies, and e-commerce ● Provide guidance on how to create a marketing plan. Compensation: This is a 5-6 hours/week position, at $30/hour.
