EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER

Job Description Carter's, Inc. is the largest branded marketer in North America of apparel exclusively for babies and young children. These brands are sold in leading department stores, national chains, and specialty retailers domestically and internationally. The person in this role will contribute to the growth, profitability, and innovation of Carters through the strategic development of email messaging inclusive of marketing and operational email programs. Breakdown of responsibilities: (40%) - Email Marketing Strategy Develops, manages, and executes email and mobile marketing strategies across all Owned Channels including frequency, cadence, promotional, and segmentation plans to deliver over $100M in annual sales Close cross-functional collaboration with CRM, Merchandising, Buying, E-Comm, Testing, Creative, and Brand Marketing teams to drive all parts of the email journey from audience, product, promotion, landing pages and integrated email technology Continuously optimize overall contact strategy through circulation planning, frequency strategy, and preferred channel in a multi-brand program while delivering on traffic goals Leverages rich first-party data set to create segmentation strategy that ladders up to broader business objectives while delivering a good customer experience Owns execution of personalization roadmap in partnership with Senior Manager to leverage data-driven decisioning and deliver relevant messages to customers in their preferred Owned channel Develops robust weekly testing roadmap focused on segmentation, messaging, and creative in partnership with A/B testing team and Sr. Manager, and oversee execution and iteration based on results Oversees daily email and mobile go-to-market strategy and assists Email Marketing Specialists with content prioritization and messaging strategy Guides email team in partnership with site merchandising team to develop accurate and best in class landing pages for email destinations as well as web/app linking strategies (40%) - Reporting & Analysis Responsible for using Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Moveable Ink & Validity and other insights tools to pull KPIs into daily/weekly reporting and dashboards Partners with CRM team to provide weekly/ongoing analysis of file health metrics across key customer segments for Owned Channels Analyzes and interprets email and mobile campaign performance, and leverages insights to make directive, proactive recommendations related to Owned Channel strategy and programs Leads test and learn analysis, historical documentation, and cross-functional knowledge shares to drive continuous iteration of strategy Contribute to ongoing maintenance of Owned Channel traffic forecast to inform weekly planning Identify research and analytics methodologies to ensure key metrics are tracked using industry best practices (20%) - Content, Executional Planning, & Process Optimization Drive Owned Channel execution of promotional, loyalty, and brand roadmaps Work to automate existing manual processes to create operational efficiencies and more hands off the wheel programs.
