Director Strategic Patterning

## Job description It is responsible for being the retail and product competitive lead as "eyes and ears" around the world for the Executive leadership teams of VS NewCo and Bath and Body Works. The group's work includes strategic projects for white-space opportunities, regular reporting on worldwide product trends and retail references and, managing and training the network of Scouts around the world. Objective The Director of Strategic Patterning is responsible for co-developing, maintaining and communicating all activities for the Strategic Patterning Services team. Capitalize on the resources of the worldwide scout network for the most efficient and effective 'local" radar Link strategic intelligence and market patterning to commercial opportunities in collaboration with our specific brands leadership team where appropriate Serve as the co-lead in gathering market intelligence Assume final responsibility for all content of specific reports; assigning roles, coordinating actions, anticipating problems and developing contingency plans accordingly Edit and gather intelligence and present complex analysis clearly with informed insight Maintain an acute knowledge of global news and as well as the apparel, lingerie and personal care landscapes in order to determine when and what to report out Identify potential strategic references from the global marketplace for all reports Present patterning findings to brand leadership & relevant brand partners along with potential implications, applications and next steps Serve as a thought partner to the Head of Strategic Patterning and peers developing insightful observations and potential enterprise implications Develop and demonstrate capability to utilize a set of analytical resources against all presentations Ability to augment fashion knowledge and intelligence gathering with analytical skills Work with patterning partners on how to identify relevant emerging trends in the market and how to systematically track them
