Job Description Carter's, Inc. is the largest branded marketer in North America of apparel exclusively for babies and young children. 35%: Essential job functionsProactively lead and manage the product development, DTV (design to value) and pre-production process by driving effective partnerships with merchandising, design/art and Asia teams; balancing needs of style intent with optimal cost and margin.Ensure the teams own component cost details of cost drivers for all aspects of their product and are actively involved throughout initial concepts to style adoption to provide feasibility input and solutions to Design/Merch of meeting cost goals. Using the tools developed on cost drivers (art matrix, etc) and including also reporting on the progress of product costs throughout the development cycle.Provide inputs to support the global sourcing strategy; help ensure the sourcing plans meet the brand needs. Help minimize supply chain disruption, mitigate risks, and maximize profitability with strong partnership with all cross functional teams.Oversee all aspects of the product development process for at least one Strategic Business Units including the development, product cost reporting and approval process to deliver/exceed expectations related to the Quality, Revenue, Profitability and Costs.
