DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT - Work Wear

​Our client, a well-known work wear company, based in DTLA is looking for a Director of Product to join their team! Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, the Director of Product is responsible for leading Product Design and Development from ideation to production hand-off. Responsibilities: Manage entire product design and product development process including but not limited to designing, sketching, costing, sampling, construction, color, fit, and final approvals Create new designs and products that will engage and excite the brand’s customers Ensure products are consistent with market trends and target price points Manage annual and monthly product calendar and budget Conducts surveys, wear tests, and sampling runs Incorporate customer feedback into new product designs Identify issues in design and product development processes and offer solutions Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Product Development or Production 5+ years in Textile Product Development Experience managing product categories from concept through completion Experience in a quantitative field prior to a role in product is highly preferred Extensive knowledge of fabric, garment construction, and terminology Proven ability to translate trends into specific targeted consumer needs Possess exceptional organization, time management, and communication skills
