DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT

The Director of Procurement is accountable for the development of policies and procedures as they relate to indirect materials (non-inventory) purchasing and for the development of the procurement staff.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:      * Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to indirect spend procurement. * Develop and achieve planned goals in cost reduction, supplier performance, and process improvement. * Communicate with suppliers and internal customers to resolve procurement related issues.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES     * Experience buying both goods and services in a manufacturing and/or retail environment. * Experience developing and implementing purchasing related policies & procedures. * Preferred – experience within an organization with revenues in excess of $500M, experience with inventory control, experience purchasing IT product & services, experience purchasing capital equipment, experience with complex Contracts/Agreements, experience utilizing Oracle system.
