Director, General Accounting

This position is responsible for ensuring the monthly close is conducted efficiently and that financial reporting controls are being met and that we provide accurate data to a variety of audiences.Job ResponsibilitiesCore Accountabilities:Oversee month end close process and ensure month end deadlines are met Review/monitor monthly journal entries prior to posting and maintain monthly checklists for journal entries Prepare Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow monthly Supervise and develop a staff of four Accountants Responsible for general ledger maintenance including chart of accounts, adding new locations and mapping Plan, Organize and coordinate annual financial audit and bank audit Perform various account analyses, corporate bank reconciliations and schedules Determine financial statement impact for company initiatives Ensure and maintain adequate internal controls including process narratives and checklists Manage and coordinate all financial reporting controls, including internal review of financial statements and documentation of financial statement support.QualificationsEducation/Experience Required:At least 5 years’ experience in accounting with supervisory experience. Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
