DIRECTOR - DATA ENGINEERING

Essential Job Functions (Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities) As part of the CIO IT organization within the Global Data + Analytics team we are looking for a leader to own, transform, and continuously improve Carters Data Platform (consisting of data lake, data warehouse, business datastores) as well as Analytics & Machine Learning Platform. This is a great opportunity to make a huge impact on the course of the company that has data-based decisions a part of its Data + Analytics Strategy. Work within a hybrid agile framework of project delivery closely with SCRUM masters to deliver on a portfolio of Tiered projects. Service Delivery Improvements (15%) Support incident resolution as needed within SLA requirements. - Required Experience in a broad variety of data techniques, patterns, tools, and methodologies Thorough understanding of databases, data modeling, and tuning methods Prior experience in Consumer Goods, Retail, Apparel, or related industry – strongly desired Strong communication skills, written and oral Bachelors in technology or Business or related field – Required Masters in CS, Business Analytics, MBA, MSA or related field – Strongly preferred Experience with AWS, Informatica, data modeling, and other advanced analytics tools – a plus Physical Demands Ability to travel between different offices in Buckhead/Braselton/Fayetteville, GA locations NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
