Director, Cloud Infrastructure

In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Engineers and Architects who will manage the day-to-day operations of our AWS.Key Qualifications:8-10years of proven experience architecting, designing, developing & delivering solutions in an AWS environmentExpert in Security, Big Data, Cloud & analytics technologies, and industry best-practicesAdvanced experience with Software Engineering (SDLC) and Architecture initiatives delivering in public cloud, and demonstrated experience implementing IaC (Infrastructure as Code)Demonstrated experience transforming IT infrastructure and moving organizations towards a mature cloud-based service delivery modelExperience with public cloud architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, and compliance workload typesProven track record of architecting & delivering scalable, cost-efficient, and modern cloud-based microservice solutionsExperience managing delivery of technical engagements to successMust be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employmentRole Description:A strategic thinker who can roll up their sleeves and do the workYou work hard on behalf of customers, but don’t take yourself too seriouslyProactive, with a team-oriented work styleDemonstrated ability to manage complex and highly visible projectsStrong organizational planning skills and understanding of portfolio management conceptsEffective and creative in solving problems with an ability to identify issues and resolve, or identify the internal resources to assistBuilding relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWorking closely with third-party vendors and consultants.As the Director, Cloud Infrastructure you will:Recruit a diverse team of architects and engineers who will support and maintain the Saks AWS environmentManage the team of engineers, providing technical leadership, delegation of responsibility, and identifying and providing staff developmentDevelop plans to migrate and support legacy AWS projects and transition services to the new cloud platform, as it becomes available.Drive the strategic vision of our Cloud Infrastructure environmentEstablish a muli-account AWS infrastructure to allow internal stakeholders to manage and deploy their own projects safely and securely.Develop appropriate governance for these tools and drive adoption throughout the organizationDeliver timely documentation, architectures, and support articles to support all aspects of the job functionDrive complex technical discussions with audiences of varying technical and subject matter backgroundsDefine and lead the practice of Cloud Excellence Centres to accelerate the adoption of CloudCollaborate with applications, architecture, security, and product delivery teams to establish a framework that integrates industry best practices for support, change, and incident managementHow Often You May Travel:This role has remote flexibility10% within North AmericaYour Life and Career at Saks:Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunitiesA culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balanceBenefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental).An amazing employee discountThank you for your interest with Saks.
