DIRECTOR BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS & NEGOTIATIONS

A role with Business Partnerships & Negotiations (BP&N) means supporting Merchandising in creating the most value for Target through strategic partnerships and vendor negotiations. As a Director BP&N, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders within the Merchandising pyramid by developing negotiation strategies and leading cross-functional teams to deliver value for Target. You will take the lead as you collaborate with the Negotiation Finance and Operations team to develop an enterprise plan in support of company strategies. You will train BP&N team members and merchants on strategic negotiation practices (i.e. when to use which tool or strategy). About you: Four-year degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of relevant experience 6+ years of Target Merchandising experience Experience leading a large, enterprise-wide strategic initiative Strong critical thinking and strategic problem solving skills Ability to simplify complex problems and drive towards solutions Is a curious and a continuous learner Excellent communication skills; strong stakeholder management skills Ability to build trust and develop people; experience leading teams is desirable Is comfortable analyzing data and forming insights based on key sales and margin metrics Thrives in ambiguity and a highly collaborative environment Innovates and challenges the status quo Respects, appreciates and is curious about diversity in relation to working with others; committed to developing an inclusive team Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Target will provide reasonable accommodations (such as a qualified sign language interpreter or other personal assistance) with the application process upon your request as required to comply with applicable laws.
