Designer - Women's Sportswear

We are an established designer, manufacturer and distributor of women's apparel looking for a motivated and talented designer to join our team. Job Responsibilities Provide reliable and responsible support to the Design Director Identify new trends, innovations, opportunities, and assist in the creation of seasonal design concepts to final product Shop local markets for inspiration Must be able to create detailed flat sketches and tech packs Source new fabrics for each season Communicate with the factories in getting all samples, fabrics, trims on a timely basis Assist in preparing showroom for presentation to buyers Design illustration ability for occasional buyer presentation packages Ability to create CADs and make alterations quickly as needed Participate in fit sessions Excellent eye for specs, proportion, fit, and construction Experience in issuing production comments for lab dips and strike offs Day to day upkeep of filing and organization Skills and Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design At least 5+ years of design experience in Women's Sportswear. Focus on woven and knit tops Must have advanced skills in Photoshop and Illustrator Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment Must be a team player as well as able to work independently Highly organized and detail-oriented Positive and professional attitude Salary $80,000 Benefits include employer paid health insurance, paid time off, 401K
