We are an established designer, manufacturer and distributor of children’s apparel looking for a motivated and talented designer to join our team. Should be skilled in designing baby and girl’s sets (some separates) with excellent understanding of the baby, little girls and tween markets. Product sits with kid’s brands like Splendid, Habitual, Vintage Havana, Miles baby, Angel Dear, etc. Will design, tech pack, pitch colors and fit (w/ tech) all designs you create Curate inspirational design presentations and mood boards to convey vision and direction of collection Recognize new fashion trends and adapt them to our market Present lines to buyers and internal sales team Work closely with product development on strike-offs, lab-dips, art sizing, etc Work closely with graphic artist on creation of prints and spot graphics Will fit daily with technical department Some domestic travel may be required Reports to Design Director/Merchandiser Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design 5+ yrs experience in baby/girls/tween - excellent sketching ability (illustrator). Strong knowledge of fabric/yarn/trim High taste level with “cool” kids aesthetic and knowledge of working within a price point Brand is extremely print driven.
