DESIGNER, SLEEP & UNDERWEAR

The Designer will be responsible for overseeing and executing the design process in an assigned focused product from conception to final prototype to include illustrator sketching, creating and maintaining seasonal assortment boards, coloring and detailing the line, creating/updating BOM’s in PLM system and fit. This position will embody the values and practices of The Children’s Place by having effective collaborative relationships and maintaining the unique look, integrity, and vision of the brand. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Own and execute designs with a focus on particular categories Ability to execute trend research and ownership over category reviews Ensure that detail/sampling packages are accurate and complete and are handed off to appropriate team members on time Develop strong working relationship with design and cross-functional counterparts to ensure cohesive product point of view and execution of design intent Ownership of fittings Ownership of Artwork Placement and Scale Execute and maintain design related fields in fabric development tracker Execute and maintain production/sampling packages in PLM and ensure that they are complete and accurate Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in design or related field 4-7 years of experience in design or related field Skills and Behaviors: Ability to design around concepts Thorough knowledge of fabrications, silhouettes, color ways, construction techniques, and trim Highly organized with effective communication skills Must be able to work towards multiple deadlines with shifting priorities Proficient in Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Bridge. PDM and Microsoft Office
